Wear If U Care is group of teenagers from North Carolina who have dedicated themselves to making a difference within our community during the difficult time of the Covid-19 pandemic. Their goal is to alleviate the effects of this pandemic by showing that we must wear masks if we care about this cause. So far they have been able to use social media as a way to further propel our campaign. They specialize in providing businesses in our community with posters regarding the importance of wearing a mask. They believe that we can all get through these hard times if we persevere and wear our masks!

Dayna Altman is a bold and authentic mental health entrepreneur, author and public health professional based in Boston MA. Dayna brings both professional experience and personal expertise into the work she does for her community. She has created several of her own organizations specializing in mental health advocacy. Her entrepreneurial adventures have helped her become a professional speaker, a documentary filmmaker, and an author of two books, using food to create a palatable and accessible way for all to approach mental health.

Bake it Till You Make it is a community based LLC dedicated to destigmatizing mental illness, normalizing mental health conversation and promoting authentic healing and recovery. We seek to connect people through food, making “difficult conversation” more palatable, natural and in turn, common place.

Global Vaccine Equity

Dr. Jeremy Rossman is the President of the non-profit organisation, Research-Aid Networks. It facilitates collaborative and evidence-based approaches for assessing need, delivering aid, evaluating effectiveness and achieving long-term sustainable community development, worldwide.

Dr. Rossman has a PhD in Emerging Infectious Diseases and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Virology at the University of Kent where he performs interdisciplinary research on: evidence-based humanitarian aid, sociology of trust relations in public health, machine learning prediction of viral outbreaks, and molecular biology of Ebola and influenza viruses.

Jeremy has co-ordinated local community outreach efforts within EndCoronavirus.org. He also leads the National Scientist Volunteer Database consulting service and works with the Zero COVID Alliance in promoting global vaccine equity.

Come attend to learn about and understand the idea of global vaccine equity, why it’s important, the current challenges our world faces, how to help make vaccination more fair for all, and get your vaccine questions answered! Everyone welcome.

Cynthia Adinig has a tremendous story as a Long-Covid Patient. She, at 35-years-old, has been to the hospital upwards of 20 times for debilitating symptoms related to long-haul Covid-19, ranging from heart palpitations to severe malnutrition. On some visits, Cynthia feared for her life. She was pushed out of the hospital before she felt ready to leave. With few answers from doctors, Cynthia turned to online support groups for connection and understanding. This is a story, not to miss.

A reading of Writer/Actor Jackie Lam's screenplay, "After You're Gone." The story is based on real events surrounding a British Chinese family in 2017. After an elderly Hong Kong immigrant is killed during a violent home robbery, her widowed husband must overcome his grief and accept help, or risk losing his relationship with the only person he has left, his son.

All profits from the May 30th reading will be donated to the London Chinese Community Centre. The Centre aims to improve the quality of life and well-being of the Chinese Community, particularly those who are disadvantaged. Our goal is to raise £500 for the @thelondonccc.
