If you are like me and need some support, I am here to help as best as I can.

100 days.
2,400 hours.
144,000 minutes.

Yes. I had covid. I got it 100 days ago. But it didn’t just stop after the 14 day period. We are now called #longhaulers. These are people who are still experiencing side effects of the virus months after finally testing negative. If you are following my page, you KNOW I am an open book and I want to share this experience.

This is also the first time that I publicly stated I had it. I was so afraid of the stigma but then I realized I have a duty to break that down.

So what am I experiencing?

  • Chronic/Sudden Fatigue

  • Chest Pain

  • Daily Migraines

  • My Asthma is No Longer Under Control

  • Memory Loss / Brain Fog

  • Severe inflammation

  • Right Lung Damage / Scarring

  • Heart Rate Spike Burts above 180 BPM

  • If I don’t take Tylenol and DayQuil in the AM, it’s going to be a bad day.

  • I had blood clot scares

I’ve had to keep a journal every day of how I felt and what went right. If I have a bad day, I have to find the connections as to why. There is really no rhyme or reason and doctors don’t know how to help. But good new is I feel a little better everyday.

You know what does help?

EXERCISE

I can’t do intense workouts like I used to or lift heavy, but moving daily helps break up the shit that is still in my system, improves my inflammation AND helps my psyche. There are some days I don’t even recognize the body I am living in anymore, but physically moving does me good.

Don’t chastise people for going back to the gym or boutique studios. What we provide is just as important to daily life as any other essential worker. Just be smart. Wear your mask. Wash your hands. Social distance when you can.

Remember: The pandemic isn’t over just because you’re over it. Stay safe.
