Like it or not, it’s crunch time. We have to keep pushing. Keep doing what we can to end the pandemic sooner. We’re in this together and we’re going to get out of it together.

Over the last year I did what a lot of people did. I tried my best to:

  • Not let how I felt about Covid translate into how I felt about other people

  • Process all the change that has taken place and be open about it

  • Not think about “it” all the time

  • Keep the facts straight

  • Have conversations with a clear head

It hasn’t been easy. Looking back, I was pretty frightened. Freaked out, even. I don’t think I’ve even processed it fully. However, throughout the last year this campaign was always in the back of my mind. On some level, I felt it was my duty to take Covid seriously, do my part, be encouraging, and stay as positive as possible.

And now, I feel commitment waning. Minds are made up one way or the other. Miraculously, aside from the feeling that everyone just wants it to be done, it feels like hope is building. Hope that we’re getting closer and closer to being done with this nonsense. Like it or not, it’s crunch time. We have to keep pushing. Keep doing what we can to end the pandemic sooner. We’re in this together and we’re going to get out of it together.
